Located on the outskirts of the town, on the road between Onda and Artesa, is the Natural Science Museum ‘El Carmen’, housed in the Carmelite monastery that bears his name.
Discover its outstanding and amazing vegetal, animal and mineral collections including more than ten thousand copies on display scattered over the museum’s three floors. An educational tour will guide you along a hundred dioramas showing a multiple natural habitats, and you will learn how the cosmos has evolved until the present day.
Step inside a wide world of 2,000 species of mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, crustaceans and amphibians, as well as about 1,000 species from the entomology section. More than 1,500 plants, 2,000 minerals and over 500 fossils, together with fifty anatomical and osteological specimens complete the collection.
